Students

All Training takes place at Saskatchewan Aviation Council flying schools.

Session 1 of the SIAST/SAC Commercial Pilot Program begins in early January of each year and runs for about 15 weeks. Session 2 begins in early September and runs to early December.

In the approximately four-month interval between sessions, our students continue flight training, or find summer employment in the aviation industry. Working in the aviation industry in Saskatoon, Regina, or at a busy airport in the North, is a tremendous experience that gives you a first-hand look at the career you intend to pursue. Summer jobs often lead to full-time employment after graduation.

Students are trained in both ground school and flight training. All ground school training takes place at the SIAST Kelsey Campus. All flight training takes place through multi-engine instrument capable Saskatchewan Aviation Council Member flying schools.

Classes operate 5 days a week from: 0800 - 1200 and 1300 - 1500 Local time.
